This site has been specially activated for the Kim Meier Morani Benefit Auction.  Although we had hoped to have a more finished site and better photos, we feel this cause important enough to "go live" with what we had on hand, but  if time permits we may add some things before the auction ends.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.  We will do our best to get you any information you may require.  The Chronicle staff is doing a tremendous job pulling this benefit together quickly and we are pleased to support this effort.

Diomedes

Offered as an outcross to performance pony breeders. 

Diomedes has all the attributes of the modern, refined warmblood type without the legginess.  He is the product of some of the best, most influential, older (and smaller) stallion lines of Germany.  He is of primarily Hanoverian blood, but refined by Thoroughbred and Trekehner improvement sires.  

Diomedes himself is a lovely young stallion, athletic, naturally well balanced and supple.  He is also kind, willing and very easy to train and handle.  He has an excellent foundation with good bone, large clean joints and strong round feet. 

Diomedes shows three excellent and correct gaits with nice suspension that carries forward, rather than up.  He has wonderful natural form over fences, with his knees tight, even, and to his chin in a round bascule.  His size to scope ratio is impressive as well and he easily adjusts his stride.  He was designated a Premium foal by Dr. Evelin Vollstedt, Vice Breeding Director of the Oldenburg Verband.
